Outer Banks Community Foundation Launches New Focus Grant Initiative and Expanded 2025 Grant Opportunities

The Outer Banks Community Foundation (OBCF) is thrilled to announce its 2025 grant programs, introducing a bold new initiative to tackle some of the region’s most pressing challenges. The Focus Grants, a centerpiece of the Foundation’s updated offerings, provide funding up to $50,000 to support innovative, large-scale projects addressing critical needs with a preference for healthcare access, affordable housing, and child care solutions.

“The Focus Grants are a game-changer for our community,” said Packy Regan, Chair of the Grants Committee. “By offering substantial funding and the possibility of multi-year initiatives, we hope to enable nonprofits to implement meaningful, sustainable solutions to the challenges that impact us all.”
In addition to the Focus Grants, the Foundation will continue to offer the two grant opportunities listed below that are designed to meet the diverse needs of local nonprofits:

  • Application Deadlines: January 31 and  July 25, 2025

“We’re thrilled to support nonprofits as they tackle important challenges and seize opportunities to strengthen our community,” said Nandy Stuart, Chief Operating Officer of the Outer Banks Community Foundation. “The updated grant framework for 2025 reflects our commitment to flexibility and targeted investment in areas that matter most to our neighbors.”
