Manteo High School 2026 Scholarship Recipients

Twelve Manteo High School seniors will start college next fall with financial assistance from Outer Banks Community Foundation funds established by local donors and organizations. Many scholarships will follow these students through all four years of school, as long as they complete the renewability requirements.
Nineteen 2026 scholarship awards for these students total $36,400. Fourteen of the nineteen scholarships are
renewable, making a potential additional commitment of $74,700 to these students over the next four years.

2026 Manteo High School Recipients are:
- Kayla Austin received Catherine Carrington Clawson Scholarship and the Healthcare Professionals
Scholarship and the Curtis Creech Memorial Scholarship - Jaheem Banks received the Kellogg Cuthrell Manteo Rotary Scholarship
- Natalia Buchta received the Duck Woods Ladies Tennis Association Scholarship
- Franni Evans received the Manteo Rotary Club Sonny Albarty Memorial Scholarship
- Ruby Gomez and received the Gayle Grinstead Memorial Scholarship
- Myrezza Holton received the Manteo Rotary Club Scholarship and Outer Banks Association of Realtors
Scholarship - Alexander Ortega, received Jeannette U. McOwen Memorial Scholarship Fund
- Xamara Perez-Chavarria received the Warren and Jane Davis Memorial Dare Math/Science Scholarship
and the inaugural Celia Rollison Meekins Scholarship - Nina Quiros received the inaugural Outer Banks Orthodontics Scholarship
- William Reed received the Manteo Rotary Club Scholarship and the Hugh A. McCullen Scholarship
- Marianna Riley received the Denver Lindley, Jr. Arts Scholarship
- Cora Walker received the Gayle Grinstead Memorial Scholarship, the W. R. Davis Scholarship and the Duck Woods Ladies Tennis Association Scholarship
The awards were presented at Manteo High School Awards Night on April 16, 2026. Congratulations to these
