OBCF 101-16- Trusted Partners Program

In an effort to better connect with our community and educate people about all of the unique facets of the Community Foundation, we have created OBCF 101.

With the peak of the Atlantic hurricane season approaching, we thought there was no better time to talk about our Trusted Partners Program.

Never heard of OBCF’s Trusted Partner’s Program? You’re in luck! Below is the quick 101 breakdown on what this program is all about.

What’s the Trusted Partners Program?

The Trusted Partners Program is a group of local businesses, individuals, and organizations who have signed up to help us share information on how to help in disaster recovery after a hurricane strikes. Through the Outer Banks Community Foundation’s Trusted Partner Program, these businesses and organizations can play a vital role in disaster recovery.

Why Is This Needed?

Getting clear and concise recovery messages out after a disaster can be difficult. But, by joining the Trusted Partners Program, OBCF will equip you and your business with three simple messages to share.

  1. How our neighbors in need can apply for disaster recovery funding.
  2. How people can donate to OBCF’s Disaster Recovery Fund.
  3. What messages to share via social media on the two points above. When our Trusted Partners share these messages across their social media feeds, information on disaster recovery will reach more people quickly.

Being a part of this program is a small way to have a big impact in disaster recovery!

How Do I Sign Up?

You can sign yourself, your business, or your organization up to be a part of the Trusted Partners Program online at  OBCF.org/trusted. We will only contact you when there is an urgent need.

Stay tuned for our next OBCF 101!
