Cape Hatteras Secondary School 2025 Scholarship Recipients

Seven Cape Hatteras Secondary School seniors will start college next fall with financial assistance from Outer Banks Community Foundation funds established by local donors and organizations. Many scholarships will follow these students through all four years of school, as long as they complete the renewability requirements.

Eleven 2025 scholarship awards for these students total $23,500. Six of the eleven scholarships are renewable, making a potential additional commitment of $27,000 to these students over the next four years.

2025 Cape Hatteras Secondary School Recipients are:

  • Kristin Bennett received the R. Stewart Couch Hatteras Island Scholarship, the Dare County Association of Fire Officers Scholarship, and the Outer Banks Association of Realtors Scholarship
  • Kirra Ensenat received the inaugural Love of Learning Scholarship
  • Elizabeth Fairbanks received the inaugural Ray Gray, Jr. Memorial Scholarship
  • Caroline Fuller received the Osborne Scholarship
  • Jade Hernandez-Sanchez received the Scott Day Family Scholarship
  • Audrey Kramer received the Irene Nolan Memorial Scholarship and the Outer Banks Association of Realtors Scholarship
  • Catherine Parker received the Inez Daniels Austin Scholarship and the Wallace H. McCown Scholarship

The awards were presented at Cape Hatteras Secondary School’s Senior Celebration and Scholarship Banquet at the Hatteras Civic Center on May 6, 2025. Congratulations to these students!
