Two J. P. Knapp Early College Students Awarded $4,000 in Scholarships
The J.P. Knapp Early College High School provides students with rigorous academic environment and an opportunity to earn both a North Carolina high school diploma and transferable college credits. Students may complete their early college high school experience within four to five years.
Two J.P. Knapp Early College High School students received scholarships from Outer Banks Community Foundation, including the first scholarship awarded from the Gayle Grinstead Memorial Scholarship, established in 2022 by Gayle’s daughter and son-in-law.
Congratulations are in order for J.P. Knapp seniors Tyler Babcock and Anita Lin. Babcock was awarded a $1,500 Outer Banks Association of Realtors Scholarship. Lin was awarded a $2,500 Gayle Grinstead Memorial Scholarship, which is renewable for up to three additional years of study.
The total potential value of these two scholarships is $11,500.
