Nonprofit $4,000 Grant Opportunity
40 nonprofits for 40 years—plus two for good measure. 42 local nonprofit agencies have been nominated to be in the running for a $4,000 grant from Outer Banks Community Foundation that will be awarded this Saturday at our 40th Birthday Bash!
That’s right, we’re taking over Charitocracy for a day, as part of our birthday celebration. Charitocracy is a local nonprofit that believes we might be able to “solve real world problems if everyone just chipped in a dollar.”
It’s only one vote per Charitocracy-registered user, and only one group will receive a grant, so we encourage folks to take this opportunity to check out Charitocracy and sign up to be included in monthly voting for your favorite charities. It costs as little as $12 a year to join. Donations are pooled each month and awarded to a crowd-curated charitable cause. The process basically starts over, with some carry-over of votes for nonprofits in the top spots.
Charitocracy is a great way to get your nonprofit’s name, mission, links, and images in front of a wider Outer Banks audience.
