First Flight High School 2026 Scholarship Recipients
Seventeen First Flight High School seniors will start college next fall with financial assistance from Outer Banks Community Foundation funds established by local donors and organizations. Many scholarships will follow these students through all four years of school, as long as they complete the renewability requirements.

Surfing For Autism launches Sandbar Social to support neurodivergent adults
What began in 2010 as a single day pairing children with autism and local surfers has grown into a year-round network of support and a new initiative designed to meet a growing need among neurodivergent adults on the Outer Banks.
